Anton the Marketplace Florist

Anton sold his corner store roses
With cavalier flourish and bows.
With grand gestures he'd festoon me
With huge floral mixtures,
For sixty-five cents and a smile.

But this winter he took a bride
And now his wife
Has wielded her knife
To cut corners --

Until today.

With a wink and a grin
He slipped in
six yellow spring daisies.
"I just can't say no to my ladies!"
